Net worth growth calculator
Project your net worth forward year by year from what you have today and what you save each month.
Net worth in 20 years
From $30,000 today. Debts are paid off in 3 yr 9 mo, then those payments are invested too.
How this calculator works
Net worth is what you own minus what you owe. The calculator grows your investments, adds monthly savings, and pays down debts with interest until they are gone.
Once a debt is paid off, the payment that used to go to it is invested too.
Common questions
Should I include my home?
You can add home equity to investments for a fuller picture, but it will not grow at the same rate.
What return should I use?
A blended return for your mix: 6–7% for mostly stocks, lower if you hold a lot of cash or bonds.
What counts as debt?
Credit cards, student loans, car loans and other balances you owe. Mortgages can be included if you include the home.
FatDCA calculators are educational estimates, not investment, tax or legal advice. Results depend on the assumptions you enter, and past returns do not predict future returns.
