Privacy policy

The short version: we do not use cookies, we do not sell data, and what you type into a calculator stays in your browser.

Last updated October 16, 2026

1. Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on fatdca.com is Stanislav Kalachev, an individual based in Bulgaria. Contact for any privacy question or request: bd@fatdca.com.

Postal address: ul. Veliko Tarnovo 24, entr. A, apt. 20, 4000 Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

2. What we collect, and why

Calculator inputs

Our calculators run in your browser. The amounts, dates and other values you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not build profiles of individual visitors and does not track you across other websites. It gives us aggregated figures such as page views, referring sites, country and device type. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and security

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. To serve pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and request times. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and follow up. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps you ask us to take before entering into an agreement (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Newsletter

If you sign up for The Weekly Fat Stack, we collect your email address, whether you asked for the mid-week reminder, the page you signed up on, and the date. We use them only to send the newsletter you asked for. You confirm your address through a link we email you, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, then delete it within 30 days, except for a minimal record that you opted out. Our newsletter is sent through Kit (ConvertKit LLC, United States), which also records whether emails are opened and links clicked so we can see what readers find useful.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a partner app, you leave our site. The partner, or the affiliate network that manages its program, may use cookies or similar technology on its own site to record that you came from FatDCA. Their privacy policies apply. We receive reports such as numbers of clicks and sign-ups; we do not receive your account details.

The FatDCA browser extension

The extension collects nothing about you. When you open it, it reads the page in your current tab on your own device to find a price and investing words; that never leaves your browser. Your reminder settings are stored in your browser (and synced by your browser if you have sync turned on). The only thing the extension downloads is our public price file from fatdca.com, which contains no personal data. If you turn on the optional "$" badge, the extension checks pages you visit for a product price, again only on your device. We do not sell, share or transfer any data from the extension.

3. Cookies

FatDCA does not set cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own site rather than loaded from third parties. Your browser's local storage remembers, on your device only, whether you closed or completed the newsletter sign-up box, so we do not show it again; it is never sent to us. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

4. Who processes data for us

Cloudflare, Inc. provides our hosting, security and analytics. Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, transfers rely on recognised safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Our email provider processes messages you send us. Kit (ConvertKit LLC) stores newsletter subscribers and sends the newsletter.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep data

  • Analytics: aggregated statistics only, kept as long as useful.
  • Hosting and security logs: kept by Cloudflare for limited periods under its own policies.
  • Emails: kept as long as needed to deal with your message, then deleted within two years unless we need them longer to meet a legal obligation.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it in a portable format. Email bd@fatdca.com and we will respond within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Bulgaria, that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg). If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can contact your local authority.

7. Visitors in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in US state privacy laws, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

8. Children

FatDCA is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top will show the latest version.
