Bull market

A long period of rising prices.

A bull market is a stretch when prices rise steadily, commonly defined as a gain of 20% or more from a recent low.

What it means for DCA

In a bull market each fixed buy gets fewer shares, because prices keep climbing. That is fine: the shares you bought earlier are rising in value. Steady buyers win in bull markets by owning, and in bear markets by buying cheap.
